Sharam's debut artist album on Darren Emerson's Underwater Records is a
mix of funk, electronica and break beat. Sharam describes the album as a
mix of his past five years, saying "as a teenager I loved all sorts of
music and I've tried to take elements from it all with the album".
He's not lying. This is a real mash up of flavas, influences, vocal
tracks with instrumentals, from the Justin Timberlake sounding Fly Girl,
to the funky single 4 Da Loverz, to the French House sound of the
opening track, to the hip hop beats of Don't Say Nothing. That said
there is also some cheese here to - When The Dogs Bite being one
example, but don't let that spoil the magnificence of this album.
I really like this album - it's one you will want to listen to over and
over, take a break from and then go back to; it sounds fresh and
exciting every time.
