DJ Tiesto - In My Memory

When I walked into HMV and saw in their new releases section an album from DJ Tiesto, I thought excellent. I was hoping something would make up for all the compilation albums that are around at the momemnt, and also for my, to be frank, disappointment with Paul Oakenfold's recent release Bunkka.

So here we have a long awaited artist album. If like me, you've always been a fan of Tiesto's production and remix work then you won't be let down by this album. It's everything you'd expect. I love it!

It comes as two CDs. The first The Originals includes all the well known tracks: Lethal Industry, Flight 643 and Suburban Train plus 6 tracks you won't have heard before. The second CD, The Remixes, contains (not surprisingly) remixes of various tracks off the first CD plus Sparkles and various versions of the latest release 643 (Love's On Fire). Some of the mixers include Quivver, Oliver Klein, Oliver Lieb and Mauro Picotto.

This is a great album. It's one that you'll want to listen to over and over again. The tunes have that soft, trancy, progressive house feel that will take you away, as you become absorbed by the music. This is genius at its best.
