Album Reviewz
I can't help feeling that Shaggy will be remembered more in the UK for Me Julie than for all the other work he has done. Which is a shame as he has quite a repertoire behind him. I also have to say that I'm not particularly a fan of Shaggy. Yes he's had loads of hits, and yes they are catchy tunes, but this isn't my style of music, and this album does nothing to change this for me. However, this latest album will appeal to Shaggy's fans and has all the components that will make this a hit. There's a number of particularly catchy tunes (Shake Shake Shake and Strength Of A Woman come to mind) as well as some excellent collaborations (Barrington Levy, Chaka Khan). And, of course it has the latest single Hey Sexy Lady. It's being promoted as an album for the ladies, but I think that it's more likely to be another album for the pop kids. Which is fine by me.
