It was a bit of a shock to me when I first heard Maneater that this was
pop princess Nelly Furtado. But sure enough it is and better than that
she's released an "urban" album. Yes indeed, Nelly's called upon her
roots to give us this urban album produced by Timbaland.
Featuring collaborations with a whole host of people from Timbaland to
rapper Attitude, this album is a mix of upfront R&B/hip hop style tracks
like Afraid, Maneater and Promiscuous, fused with some softer pop-like
tracks like Te Busque and Showtime.
If you're a pop fan then I'm sure you'll enjoy the whole of this album,
but if you're expecting a pure R&B album then you'll be disappointed and
will probably only want to listen to the first 4 tracks plus a couple of
the others.
